Mike, my first question
is what do you know about Turkey and is it amazing for you
to hear that there are battlestar Galactica fans in Turkey?

[MT]
I was thrilled to learn that we have fans
of our show in Turkey. It's good to know that this program
is reaching the far corners of the world and people of many
different nations can enjoy it and discuss it. I believe it
has a global appeal.
I must admit, I don't know too much about Turkey. I know
that it has a population of over 70 million people and the
capital is Istanbul. I also know that the country is
situated on two different continents but mostly lies in
Asia, with Istanbul on the European continent. And the
national religion is Muslim. Other than that, I'd have to do
some research.

[GTR]
I’m not sure that if i’m
right But i think that you are one of the cast member who
has the closest relationship with fans. Certainly other cast
members have contact with fans in comic-con or other
conventions but its already in their contract. You are making
direct relations. Is ýt joyful for you to have close
relationship with fans?
[MT]
I dont' know if it is correct to say that
I am the one with the "closest" relationships to the fans. I
think many in the cast do a very good job of keeping the
fans informed and interacting with them as much as possible.
I personally think it is extremely important to reach out to
our fans and have a rapport with them. For, without our
fans, we have no show. Or at least nobody to enjoy it. I am
grateful for the support so many of you have shown for
Battlestar Galactica. So I think it is good to maintain
communication with the fans but, of course, it must remain
professional and not become too "close" or personal. There
is a certain amount of privacy that we all expect to retain,
you know?

[GTR]
This one is gonna be a
stereotype question for you but i wonder what are the
differences and similarities between Samuel T Anders and
Michael Trucco
[MT]
The similarities between me and Sam
Anders?......I believe we are both very loyal, stubborn,
don't like to be told what to do, like to take the lead,
instinctual, and maybe a bit daring. The
differences?........I've never killed anyone.
At least as far as I know.......(you know I'm kidding, of
course).

[GTR]
Were you a fan of the old
series?
[MT]
I was very young when the original series
came out. I never really got into it.
[GTR]
You worked in other shows
like One Tree Hill or CSI. I thýnk these shows's target
audience are different than BSG. Is it a different
experience for you to work in a Sci-fi production?
[MT]
I thought there would be a dramatic
difference in working in the SciFi genre, but once I got
into the production I realized this is just good
story-telling no matter what the genre. I actually like the
atmosphere on the set of BSG better than any other show I've
worked on before. It feels more like a film than most
television productions I've been a part of. It's very
relaxed and extremely creative when we are on the set.
Everybody has an input and we don't feel the unnecessary
pressures that many 'network' television series often have
to endure.
[GTR]
Finally do you want to
visit Turkey someday? and do you have any message for
Turkish fans?
Thanks a lot and good hunting in your career.

[MT]
I don't actually have plans to visit
Turkey any time soon. Right now, most of my travel is
between Los Angeles and Vancouver. But, yes, I would like to
see your country one day. And to all our fans in Turkey:
Damn glad to have you aboard, and we welcome you and thank
you all for watching!
So say we all |
